Artificial Intelligence Art
AI offers many ways to be involved in the art world beyond traditional painting or drawing. We love using AI as a tool to enhance our art work and to create unique pieces that wouldn’t be possible without this technology. The skills learned – such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and visual communication are valuable and transferable to many other professions.

Art Class – Reavis Elementary
Elementary Art class focused on project based learning pedagogy where students acquire a deeper knowledge through play based learning activities and active exploration of real-world challenges. Students are familiarized with basic principles and fundamentals in visual art and design by using Photography, Drawing and working with a clay.

Photography – East West University
Today, all around us, things are disappearing – birds, butterflies, coral reefs. Places where we used to live. Here are just a few of those places my Location Photography students captured in a last ditch effort to save it from an unstoppable predator: us.

Audio & Music Production – John Hay Public School
Despite obvious transformative power of the music, many students don’t have music classes in school. My music engagement project goes beyond giving children opportunities to write lyrics and sing songs – it is giving them a chance for success in school, work, and life in compelling ways by pairing them with industry experts in audio recording industry.

Students developed the skills necessary to create vocal-focused recordings and developed a broad understanding of the professional music production environment by learning how to properly set up, operate, and manage a recording studio. Each student created compelling, professional-sounding songs by learning to identify the production elements that contribute to a well-balanced, artful and professional mix.

Students area also taught the most essential elements of what goes into making a music video and, by the end of the course students conceived, produced, and shot music video.

Studio Photography – Illinois Institute of Art
Students are introduced to the equipment used in studio photography, learned the fundamentals of studio lighting, and gained understanding in the use of the equipment and techniques to execute standard professional assignments and gain more creative control. Emphasis is placed on gaining technical skills and using studio lighting to obtain the desired aesthetic effect.

Location Photography – Illinois Institute of Art
Exploratory, project-based learning based class offering students the opportunity to gain experience in the medium of visual communication. Emphasis is placed on visual composition, styling, image framing and set design.

Special Project – Let The Sun Shine In
These are homeless Roma children in Serbia. Many of them, in addition to being exposed to daily discrimination and abuse have no medical care of any kind and are forced into child labor from an early age. These disturbing facts launched my project with a goal to not merely confront people with this aspect of reality but more importantly create one powerful multimedia educational tool that will counter social injustice these children face daily. I spent years documenting the lives of homeless Roma children who live in slums overrun with rats in some of the most degrading conditions imaginable.

Graphic Design – International Academy of Design & Technology
This online graphic design course was geared towards students looking to become a professional graphic designers. We worked with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. In addition to your class project reviews, students had access to professional graphic design experts.

Soccer Coach – Reavis Elementary
Some of my most memorable childhood memories are tied to sport. It had enormous influence on my cognitive and intellectual development. I had an amazing time coaching soccer team representing our school in the league representing numerous chicago public schools and observing how children used their creativity while developing their physical, cognitive, and emotional strength.

Digital Video – Illinois Institute of Art
In this class, students learned how to record, edit and share documentary-style video. Our host was designer, executive chef and restaurateur Bruno Abate, pioneer in the food industry in Chicago. Project Based Learning required critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and various forms of communication. In order to create high-quality work, students need to do much more than remember information. They need to use higher-order thinking skills and learn to work as a team.

Video Production
This collaborative, student centered, project based learning process was focused around students exploring basic elements of delivering powerful, customized video marketing campaign in order to increase awareness and to highlight a specific cause.

Focus on students creating connections and relating their learning process and their project to their own personal and cultural context.

Fundamentals of 3D Design – Illinois Institute of Art
Promotional Book for a paper manufacturer using thematic research “A Brief History of Spices” The content acts as a vehicle for displaying printing techniques, folding, special effects.
