International Relations class was focused on deepening international awareness and developing students ability to discuss variety of important global issues from different perspectives.

Audio & Music Production - John Hay Public School Despite obvious transformative power of the music, many students don't have music classes in school. My music engagement project goes beyond giving children opportunities to write lyrics and sing songs - it is giving them a chance for success in school, work, and life in compelling ways by pairing them with industry experts in audio recording industry. Students developed the skills necessary to create vocal-focused recordings and developed a broad understanding of the professional music production environment by learning how to properly set up, operate, and manage a recording studio. Each student created compelling, professional-sounding songs by learning to identify the production elements that contribute to a well-balanced, artful and professional mix. Students area also taught the most essential elements of what goes into making a music video and, by the end of the course students conceived, produced, and shot music video.

Digital Video - Illinois Institute of Art In this class, students learned how to record, edit and share documentary-style video. Our host was designer, executive chef and restaurateur Bruno Abate, pioneer in the food industry in Chicago. Project Based Learning required critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and various forms of communication. In order to create high-quality work, students need to do much more than remember information. They need to use higher-order thinking skills and learn to work as a team.

Video Production This collaborative, student centered, project based learning process was focused around students exploring basic elements of delivering powerful, customized video marketing campaign in order to increase awareness and to highlight a specific cause. Focus on students creating connections and relating their learning process and their project to their own personal and cultural context.
